Systems Change
One of the greatest challenges facing public agencies today is figuring out how to integrate services across sectors, and remove barriers that prevent people from living their best lives. I have experience supporting cross-systems work in early childhood education, K-12 education, health, human services, and behavioral health. My approach is grounded in collaboration and partnership building, with a focus on leveraging the strengths of each partner at the table.
change Management
Implementing big ideas means changing the way you do your work. Adapting to change and establishing new behaviors and routines takes time and comes with a learning curve. I will work with you to design a process that supports your staff and partners through times of change with empathy and kindness - but without compromising the need to do things differently.
strategic planning
Your big ideas will only turn into action when you have a clear road map for how to get where you want to be, and how to bring your team along with you. If you are leading an organization toward a new set of priorities, developing a clear plan and staff engagement strategy are key. I will come along side you and your team to develop a plan that fits with your values.
early childhood SYstems
The quality of our experiences in early childhood lay the foundation for the way we learn and interact with the world for the rest of our lives. Yet, programs in the early learning sector are often disjointed, under funded, and dealing with huge issues of quality and access. I offer the kind of advice that only comes from having done the work before for organizations agencies working to improve access to quality early learning experiences for children and families.
New Program Development
The startup environment is equal parts exciting and exhausting. Usually one person, with a great idea and a lot of energy, winds up playing multiple roles as a new program develops inside an organization. I've spent 10 years building new programs from the ground up, and am here to support you through each step of the process.
advocacy and organizing
Sometimes to accomplish our goals, we need big institutions or elected leaders to understand the need for change and agree to support and invest in it. If you have policy ideas that you aren't sure how to move forward, I can work with you to fine-tune your thoughts, and build grassroots momentum and support for your work.
